Peer Review Process

All authors submitting manuscripts to Edukara: Journal of Education, History, and Culture are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, which can be downloaded from the journal’s official website. This document serves as a declaration of adherence to publication ethics and is not a manuscript template; therefore, all submissions must still follow the journal’s author guidelines.

The editorial process begins with an initial screening conducted by the editorial team, which includes checks for formatting, document completeness, plagiarism, and alignment with the journal’s focus on education, history, and culture. Manuscripts that pass this stage will proceed to the peer review process.

Edukara employs a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure objectivity and fairness. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers based on the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and contribution to the fields of education, history, and/or culture
  • Appropriateness and clarity of methodology, theoretical framework, or analytical approach
  • Coherence, organization, and clarity of presentation
  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial board may decide:

  • Accepted
  • Minor revision required
  • Major revision required
  • Rejected

Authors requested to revise their manuscripts will be given a specified timeframe to submit the revised version, along with a detailed point-by-point response addressing each reviewer’s comment.

The Edukara editorial team is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the review process. Authors may contact the editorial team at any time to inquire about the status of their submitted manuscripts.
