Author Guidelines
Manisha: Journal of Education and Social Sciences publishes original scholarly manuscripts in the fields of education and social sciences. Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and must not be under consideration for publication by any other journal. The journal accepts manuscripts written in English or Indonesian.
Submission Procedure
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's Open Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register for an account before submitting a manuscript and to complete all required metadata during the submission process.
Manuscript Format
Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the following formatting requirements:
- Paper size: A4
- Layout: Single-column
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Line spacing: 1.15
- Maximum length: 20 pages (including tables, figures, and references)
Font
- Main text: Times New Roman, 11 pt
- Tables, figures, and references: Times New Roman, 10 pt
- Titles and headings: Times New Roman, 12–14 pt (bold)
Title, Author Information, Abstract, and Keywords
Title
- Maximum 12 words for manuscripts in English.
- Maximum 14 words for manuscripts in Indonesian.
- The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
Author Information
Authors must provide:
- Full name (without academic titles)
- Institutional affiliation
- Email address
- ORCID ID (recommended)
Abstract
The abstract must be provided in both English and Indonesian, with a maximum of 200 words. It should briefly describe:
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Keywords
Provide three to five keywords that accurately represent the main topics of the manuscript.
Article Structure
Research Articles
- Introduction (approximately 15–20%)
- Research background
- Problem formulation
- Research objectives
- Relevant literature review
- Methodology (approximately 10–15%)
- Research design
- Participants or data sources
- Instruments
- Data collection procedures
- Data analysis techniques

Review Articles
Review articles should include:
- Introduction
- Theoretical or Conceptual Framework
- Critical Discussion
- Conclusion highlighting contributions to knowledge development
References
References must comply with the latest APA Style guidelines.
Authors are expected to:
- Use recent and relevant literature.
- Ensure that at least 80% of references have been published within the last 10 years.
- Prioritize reputable journal articles, academic books, and credible scholarly sources.
- Use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript complies with the Author Guidelines.
- The manuscript is original and is not being considered by another journal.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables, figures, and illustrations are properly numbered, captioned, and cited within the text.
- Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted materials, photographs, datasets, or other third-party content included in the manuscript.
Articles
The Articles section publishes original research papers and scholarly review articles that fall within the journal's focus and scope. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process before publication.

The names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and email addresses entered on this journal website will be used exclusively for the editorial and publication purposes of Manisha: Journal of Education and Social Sciences. This information will not be shared with third parties or used for any purpose unrelated to the journal's publication process, except where required by law or indexing services associated with scholarly publishing.
